An 18ft Brian James trailer with wheel straps. The van is professionally wired with trip switches, multiple power points, LED lighting and long hook up cables to connect to an external supply.
In the van are a two-door pub style fridge, a 70kg Scotsman ice flaker, and a Whirlpool 20kg ice cube maker. A chest freezer. All are commercial appliances and are in good working order. Speed rails for holding all the bottles and a full cocktail making set up,(bar tidy, muddling kit, bar mat, ice scoops, and a selection of plastic biodegradable 'glasses', ice bucket). Two roof racks, one classic chrome and wood one that mounts on the back roof of the vehicle, and a wooden platform that mounts above the cab.
A bar surface that hangs on the side of the van. A powerful electric fan heater. A 250lt plastic water tank with a powerful pump. This is used at events where a tap is not accessible. It enables the ice makers to run and hand/glass washing. A heavy duty commercial domed canopy that covers the vehicle if it's raining. A domed kitchen tent. A Capri marquee, 30x20ft with removable side panels. Two up lighters, great for marquee or illuminating the vehicle at night. Twenty-five aluminium cafe style chairs with colourful cushions. Seven tables, also with aluminium frames. Two tills and a small safe. Various signs (Cocktails, pay here, order your interval drinks here). A separate 'shot bar', made to tie in with the style of the rest of the van. This proved very popular at the end of an evening and frees up staff working in the van. A waterproof whole vehicle cover.
We decided early on that we were not going to make the vehicle roadworthy, instead using the trailer to get it to events. We didn't want to rely on a 58-year-old vehicle to be reliable every time! There is no engine, but one could be fitted if required. The brakes work well and there is a full wiring loom. We found positioning the vehicle was never a problem as without the engine it is fairly light. Two people can push it easily.
